About the archive
A service-story archive for students who want to act with care.
volunteer& began as a compact digital archive for student service stories and the Charity Auction. The upgraded site keeps the original service memory visible, but gives the archive the structure a modern volunteer platform needs: a clear mission, story pathways, video context, student guidance, impact language, and searchable SEO metadata.
The work is intentionally modest in tone. It does not pretend that a short trip or one fundraiser solves a complex humanitarian problem. Instead, it asks students to look carefully, prepare well, document responsibly, and keep service connected to learning.
Design principle
Preserve the archive, clarify the pathway.
The original site was image-led and cinematic. The new version keeps that visual memory while adding the content architecture visitors expect from leading volunteer organizations: why this exists, how to get involved, what students learn, and where to watch or read more.
What volunteer& protects
- Original service-story topics and field notes.
- Six MP4 videos and their poster images.
- The Charity Auction foundation years from 2012 to 2015.
- A living continuation through summer 2026.
- A student-centered method for reflection and reporting.
