volunteer& began as a compact digital archive for student service stories and the Charity Auction. The public site still keeps that cinematic memory: original photographs, six MP4 films, and the foundation years of a student auction. The expanded pages exist so a visitor can understand the method, not only the mood.
The tone is intentionally modest. A short trip, a camera, or one fundraiser does not solve displacement, disaster recovery, hospice care, or long-term environmental harm. The archive asks students to look carefully, prepare, document with consent, and keep service attached to learning.
Design principle
Preserve the archive, clarify the pathway.
The original site was image-led and dark. This version keeps the black field, blue-gray atmosphere, and original assets while adding the architecture visitors expect from a complete volunteer-education organisation: mission, stories, videos, preparation, ethics, school and family doors, safeguarding, and reflection.

People who need a placement should use supervised school programmes or organisations that can name a staff contact, a safeguarding policy, and a task. volunteer& can help a student get ready to ask better questions.
